AMSA is the municipal waste collection and street‑cleaning company for the city of Milan, serving residents and daily commuters. Faced with obsolete applications and loosely defined requirements, the IT team needed an agile, object‑oriented web development environment to reorganize, monitor and manage waste disposal processes across a complex service landscape.

Using WebRatio, AMSA reengineered the frontend of its waste disposal process management system—covering disposal steps, acceptance-based garbage selection, outgoing waste handling and asset/service information—and directly integrated with existing production machinery via low‑level I/O. In 2.5 months the team delivered a centralized, cross‑platform operating system (75 dynamic pages, ~400 business operations); following the successful rollout AMSA adopted WebRatio to build additional in‑house apps such as asset management and quality control.
