How Williams Companies Improved Job Site Safety Using Limeade

Williams, a leading energy infrastructure company delivering 30% of the nation’s gas and employing over 7,000 people, faced uneven culture and low engagement from a one-dimensional wellness program after many mergers. To better align with the CEO’s “One Williams — One Mission” safety-first focus and to reach field workers (pipeline crews, drivers) and their families, Williams selected WebMD Health Services to redesign its Williams Way to Wellness using WebMD Health Services’ well-being solution.

WebMD Health Services partnered with Williams’ safety team, launching the program at the annual safety summit, integrating safety into the Well-Being Assessment, and rolling out mobile-friendly, safety-focused challenges (stress relief, mindfulness, “Drink Up,” distracted driving, home preparedness) with safety team sponsorship. Nine months after launch more than 60% of eligible employees had joined, sustained participation ranged 30–60% (including spouses), user satisfaction averaged 8.5/10, about 1,000+ participants joined each challenge on average, and 90% of employees reported feeling safe at Williams — measurable outcomes attributed to the WebMD Health Services program.
