How Security Health Plan Makes Excellence A Habit

Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, part of Marshfield Clinic Health System, is a not‑for‑profit HMO serving about 220,000 members across urban and rural communities, including growing Medicare and Medicaid populations. To boost member engagement and advance whole‑health outcomes, Security Health Plan partnered with WebMD Health Services and adopted solutions such as the WebMD Wellness at Your Side app, online health assessments, Daily Habits lifestyle programs and health coaching.

WebMD Health Services worked with Security Health Plan to deliver proactive outreach tied to claims and provider referrals, targeted mailings and digital tools (health assessments, the Wellness app, lifestyle programs and coaching) so members could be met “where they are.” The long‑standing WebMD partnership (client since 2016) enabled more personalized, targeted engagement across the 220,000‑member population, supported NCQA quality goals, improved access for Medicare and Medicaid members, and laid groundwork for future initiatives like health‑equity accreditation and expanded coaching.
