How Brinker International Serves Up Whole-Person Well-Being To Team Members at Chili’s and Maggiano’s

Brinker International, owner of Chili’s and Maggiano’s, faced the challenge of preserving its service-driven culture while scaling a holistic well-being strategy across thousands of restaurant team members. To extend five core well-being dimensions (social, community, financial, physical and career) beyond leader workshops and in‑store activities, Brinker engaged WebMD Health Services to deploy a digital, challenge‑based employee well‑being platform.

WebMD Health Services implemented a branded well‑being program with targeted challenges, incentives and integrations to drive participation and link well‑being to business outcomes. The program drove strong engagement—75% of employees completed the well‑being assessment and 67% of registered users participated at least every two weeks—helped increase Brinker Family Fund contributions to more than 50% participation (nearly $15M total), and doubled activation of a decision‑support service while unique users in a six‑month period exceeded the prior year, demonstrating measurable cultural and operational impact.
