Case Study: Montana University System achieves improved employee well-being and productivity with WebMD Health Services (Limeade)

Bringing Well-Being to Isolated Employee Populations

Montana University System, a network of two flagship universities, four regional universities and 10 two-year colleges with about 8,000 benefits-eligible employees and 44,000 students, needed a way to reach and engage a geographically dispersed workforce without a centralized email system. To tackle this, MUS partnered with WebMD Health Services to create MUS Wellness, using culturally relevant, whole-person programming and interactive features such as short videos and quiz-based challenges to drive registration and engagement.

WebMD Health Services implemented the MUS Wellness platform with an interactive video-and-quiz add-on to deliver personalized well-being journeys, integrate social channels and in-person promotions, and provide managers with analytics on message reach. The program, launched in 2014, produced significant year-over-year improvements in health, well-being and productivity among at-risk employees, demonstrating measurable gains in employee support and engagement.
