A Webgility Case Study
Eugene Toy & Hobby is an 83-year-old, fifth-generation hobby store in Eugene, Oregon that expanded online to compete in a post-Amazon world, listing roughly 34,000 products across a physical store, two WooCommerce sites, eBay and Etsy. Building the site exposed major inventory challenges: no reliable POS integration led to frequent overselling, and the WooCommerce-to-QuickBooks POS plugin they tried was slow, unreliable, and bloated their database.
They implemented Unify by Webgility after a successful trial to sync price and quantity between QuickBooks POS and their online channels, restoring live inventory and automating order flows. The change increased productivity, eliminated costly stockouts, supported expansion to additional marketplaces, and—since winter 2014—helped grow monthly orders by about 800%, while also giving the team reliable support and the ability to pursue new scaling strategies.
