A Webfleet Case Study
Global Waste Services, a family-run waste removal and recycling business in Toronto with a 25-vehicle fleet, was struggling with a paper-and-pen dispatch process and two-way radio coordination while handling up to 200 calls a day. The small dispatch team of two was overwhelmed by constant schedule changes and manual logging, so the company adopted Webfleet’s WEBFLEET telematics to modernize operations.
Webfleet implemented electronic dispatch, vehicle tracking, in-cab messaging, route optimization and historical delivery data, removing paper-based confusion and giving dispatch real-time visibility. As a result, dispatch workload became far more manageable, drivers are completing on average two additional service calls per day (rising from about 5–6 to roughly 8, with some reaching 12), delays are reduced through better routing and location info, and management now uses reporting to reward top performers and make data-driven decisions.
