Fireline Corporation Gains Visibility into Driver Behavior with Vehicle Tracking from TomTom Business Solutions

Fireline Corporation, a Baltimore-based fire protection company with 100 technicians who spend at least eight hours a day on the road, needed better visibility into vehicle locations and driver behavior to reduce safety incidents, fuel and maintenance costs, and enforce its “one negative driving event per day” policy. Seeking greater accuracy than their previous system, Fireline turned to Webfleet and deployed the TomTom LINK 300 across its 100-vehicle fleet.

Using Webfleet’s tracking and driver-behavior monitoring, Fireline gained real-time visibility to coach technicians, improve maintenance scheduling, and respond faster to incidents. The Webfleet deployment eliminated motorist complaints (down from at least three calls per month to zero), reduced idling to under 30 minutes per vehicle per day, increased compliance with driving standards, and enabled recovery of towed or involved vehicles.
