Berendsen, a European textile, hygiene and safety solutions specialist with a 750-vehicle fleet, faced limited central control, poor management information and a need to improve risk and compliance management. To tackle this, the company deployed Webfleet’s telematics platform (TomTom Telematics WEBFLEET) including the OptiDrive 360 driver-behaviour system and in-cab TomTom PRO 8275 terminals.

Webfleet’s platform was integrated—via open APIs—with Telematics Data Services reporting and ICanProve.IT 360° on-board cameras to deliver automated, severity-based incident reports, video-backed driver debriefs and targeted management dashboards. The integrated Webfleet solution helped Berendsen cut CO2 by more than 2,000 tonnes, improve fuel efficiency by 12.7%, reduce driving events by 58% and virtually eradicate speeding, while providing the MI and controls to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
