Axis achieves a 20% MPG increase over 5 months

Axis, a leading maintenance and refurbishment provider that manages over 250,000 properties annually and operates a fleet of more than 240 vehicles, needed a more intuitive, widely accessible telematics solution after its previous system proved restrictive and under-used. To improve fuel consumption, lower costs and give more departments access to fleet data, Axis selected Webfleet’s WEBFLEET system, deploying LINK tracking devices, ecoPLUS units and OptiDrive® driver scoring.

Webfleet rolled the solution out across all 241 vehicles, providing dashboard reporting, OptiDrive scores and league tables to drive behaviour change and faster, department-wide access to location and performance data. The programme delivered a measurable 20% increase in average fleet MPG (from 33 MPG to 39 MPG) in five months, helped Axis exceed its 5% improvement target, and produced fuel, servicing and response-time benefits.
