Streamlining the delivery of COVID test results with SMS

Ipsos MORI is leading a large COVID-19 prevalence study with Imperial College London on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care and needed a simple, accessible way to keep participants informed and deliver test results quickly. As an existing customer, Ipsos MORI engaged Textlocal and its Managed Services to add SMS to their email and postal outreach so participants could be updated at each stage of the testing journey.

Textlocal implemented managed SMS delivery for reminders, survey links and test results (including antibody and saliva tests), supporting more than 1 million volunteers who completed home tests. To date over 5 million texts have been sent—including over 1 million results—helping ensure results were communicated within seven days, improving reporting speed and reliability so positive cases could isolate and seek advice promptly.
