Swanson Tool streamlines labeling for two framing square sizes with Weber Packaging Solutions

Swanson Tool, a manufacturer of uniquely shaped measuring tools, faced a challenge with the bulky, hand-applied labeling on its aluminum framing squares. They needed a new, streamlined pressure-sensitive label that could be applied automatically and removed cleanly without leaving residue on the etched product surface. They contacted Weber Packaging Solutions for a custom labeling solution.

Weber Packaging Solutions developed a durable, removable polypropylene film label with a matte finish, produced on their digital presses to handle the complex artwork. To automate application, Weber engineers implemented a tilted conveyor system and an Alpha Compact label applicator to accurately place the triangle-shaped labels. This solution successfully streamlined Swanson Tool's packaging process, reducing bulk and enabling more products per case.
