Mrs. Gerry's, a large prepared food manufacturer, faced the challenge of meeting strict GS1 labeling mandates from major retailers and maintaining food safety compliance for its SQF Level 2 certification. The company needed a reliable system to apply labels containing tracking information to its cartons at high production speeds. They worked with Weber Packaging Solutions to implement a solution using the Weber Model 5300 Corner-Wrap label printer applicators.

Weber Packaging Solutions installed five Model 5300 Corner-Wrap systems to automatically print and apply labels containing product information and GS1 Datamatrix codes around the corner of each carton. This solution allowed Mrs. Gerry's to keep up with line speeds of 20 cartons per minute, eliminated labeling errors, and provided the single-scan traceability required for inventory management. The implementation improved packaging efficiency, quality control, and ensured compliance with all safety and retail mandates.
