MrBilit is a fast-growing MENA online travel aggregator (founded 2016) that lets users compare and book flights, trains, and buses. To scale, the company needed a robust marketing automation system and a team that could use it effectively. Key challenges included increasing user retention, recovering search abandoners across flights, trains and buses, using multiple channels coherently, and driving more organic traffic.

Using WebEngage (Journey Designer, Data Analytics, SMS, web push and push), MrBilit imported existing workflows, built behavior-based segments and path analyses, and ran targeted abandonment and cross-sell journeys for flights, buses and trains. After three months (and continued optimization), each journey boosted retention by 10–15%, contributing to a 5–6% increase in total sales and delivering channel-specific lifts: 19% uplift in flight search abandonment retention, 16% more completed bus purchases and a 12% uplift for train search abandoners.
