Powerlook, a Mumbai-based D2C men's fashion brand that has run e‑commerce since 2018, struggled with low retention and high early drop-offs because it had no centralized personalization or marketing-automation stack. The apparel business also faced ambiguity in purchase intent and lacked user-specific recommendations, making it difficult to drive repeat purchases and improve on-site engagement.
Powerlook implemented WebEngage’s Web Personalization (in-line), Recommendation & Catalog engine, and Web Push & Email journeys to personalize site experiences, nudge cart abandoners with product CTAs, and send behavior-driven recommendations (timed 15 days after purchase) to increase AOV and repeat buying. The campaigns generated 4 lakh impressions on the m-site, produced a 302% uplift in unique conversions versus a control group (and a 1,745% uplift for the recommendation journey), and—with WebEngage—helped contribute roughly 10% of overall revenue.
