Perfora is a design-led oral care brand from Gurugram (founded 2021) that aims to simplify daily oral care with safer, effective products. As a digital-first startup that gained visibility after Shark Tank India, Perfora faced the challenge of converting and retaining a growing user base—reducing cart abandonment, increasing repeat purchases and monthly active users, and setting up automated, data-driven retention flows and replenishment campaigns.
Working with WebEngage’s Startup Program, Perfora implemented web personalization, onsite surveys, targeted banners, and a catalog-driven recommendation engine to show abandoned items, surface best-sellers to new users, and deliver personalized product suggestions to returning customers. The combined strategy cut cart abandonment by 13% during the program and drove dramatic uplift in conversions—an 8X overall spike, with campaign uplifts reported at ~820% for cart-abandonment journeys and ~700% for recommendation campaigns.
