VoiceClub is a Bengaluru-based audio-first social and on-demand consultation platform (love, astrology, legal, careers, etc.) that launched in 2022 to create more intimate, voice-driven connections. The company’s core challenge was retention and monetization: users needed to be convinced to make a second payment and stay engaged long-term (targeting ≥30% Week 4–5 retention), while also learning to explore and trust the platform’s voice features.
VoiceClub joined the WebEngage Startup Program and used Journey Designer plus targeted push and in-app messages to run nudges—especially journeys prompting users who added balance once to add again and converting voice plays into calls—framing outreach as someone wanting to connect. The campaigns yielded a 5x jump in ROI and 17% unique click-through conversions on recurring targeted campaigns, materially improving repeat payments and overall retention.
