India's Biggest Online Dental Store Dentalkart Amasses An 80% Repeat Purchase Rate With WebEngage

DentalKart is India’s largest e-commerce dental brand (founded 2016, HQ Delhi) offering 390+ brands and an in-house line at consistent, affordable prices for dental professionals. Despite rapid growth, the company faced low online adoption among dentists (only ~3% purchasing online), weak customer engagement, high cart and browse abandonment, limited data insights, and the need to scale operations.

Partnering with WebEngage, DentalKart used Journey Designer, Personalization Stack and Recommendations to build hyper-personalized, multi-channel journeys (welcome, product-view, cart-abandonment, 90/180-day re‑engagement) and AI-driven product recommendations. The campaigns recovered ~20% of abandoned carts and ~30% of product browses, delivered a 90-day journey that brought 250 new customers and ~₹80,000 revenue, a 180-day effort that retained 70 customers for ~₹250,000, and lifted repeat purchase rates from ~30–40% to about 75–80%, while improving session time, conversion and inventory efficiency.
