Yatra, India’s second-largest OTA, was looking for a way to reduce hotel booking abandonment and convert high-intent visitors who reached the review page but still dropped off. To address this challenge, Yatra worked with WebEngage using Journeys for contextual engagement and personalized retargeting.
WebEngage implemented an automated journey that nudged users every 48 hours via web push, stopped messaging after purchase, and used exit triggers to avoid irrelevant communication. The result was a 3.2% increase in gross hotel bookings, along with automated personalized retargeting and better mobile engagement with non-app users.
