How UAE’s fastest growing e-commerce store recovered 14.77% of its abandoned carts

DODuae.com is one of the UAE’s largest online retailers (founded 2015) known for low prices and very fast delivery, but it faced a retention challenge: how to recover abandoned carts and grow revenue from existing users while keeping marketing costs down. Their existing tools couldn’t handle complex, conditional retention workflows—region-specific messaging, channel fallbacks when email wasn’t reachable, and staged follow-ups—so they partnered with WebEngage.

Using WebEngage’s Journey Designer, DODuae built cross-channel, conditional journeys for cart abandonment, wishlist nudges, and exit‑intent offers for new visitors (region-tailored creatives, push/web push/iOS fallbacks and timed discount follow-ups). The drag-and-drop campaigns improved visibility and control and produced strong results: a 14.77% uplift in abandoned cart recovery, 3.3% uplift in wishlist-to-purchase, and a 54.1% uplift in conversions from new visitors who added to cart.
