DSP BlackRock, a joint venture between DSP and BlackRock, wanted to lift email engagement for its yearly round-up campaign by delivering deep personalization across its large contact base. With conversion goals focused on improving CTOR and recognizing that few retailers personalize at scale, the team faced the challenge of creating highly tailored content for hundreds of thousands of users.
Working with WebEngage’s Marketing Automation, they fed user profiles, third‑party CRM data and behavioral events into email templates that used conditional logic and loops to assemble personalized year-in-review summaries. The program generated roughly 6,912 unique template variations (~7,000) and produced strong results: a 39% open rate, a 9% CTOR, and personalized nurturing across the user base.
