Arata, a New Delhi–based D2C cosmetics brand founded in 2018 that makes natural, vegan skin and hair-care products, faced challenges boosting new-user conversion, reducing cart abandonment, improving lead generation, and lifting overall user engagement and retention across its funnel.
Partnering with WebEngage, Arata consolidated shopper data and used Funnel and Cohort analysis plus the Journey Designer to run event-based cart-recovery flows, on-site notifications to convert anonymous visitors, and repeat-purchase campaigns. The program—supported end-to-end by a dedicated CSM—delivered a 13% cart-abandonment recovery rate, enabled automated, tech‑light campaign management across ~90k MAUs, and produced measurable retention-led uplifts in key growth metrics.
