ApnaKlub is an agent-led B2B wholesale platform (founded 2020, Bengaluru) that connects kirana and general stores in India’s Tier II/III markets with FMCG assortments via a zero-money-investment model. As an app-first business, ApnaKlub faced the challenge of building an easy-to-use experience and personalized, off-app communications to reduce churn and improve activation across signup, KYC, cart and post-purchase stages, so it joined the WebEngage Startup Program.
With guidance from WebEngage, ApnaKlub implemented data-driven omnichannel user journeys (Push, In-app, SMS, WhatsApp), instrumented event-based messaging, and used analytics to optimize campaigns. The program reduced drop-offs in signup, KYC and cart abandonment and drove strong retention and engagement—achieving ~30% M1 repeats (22% M2, 20% M3), 30% month-on-month repeat orders and a 23% push notification CTR.
