The Elefant Achieves 74% Boost in First-Order Conversions With WebEngage Startup Program

Elefant is India’s first app-based toy library (D2C), founded in 2023 in Mumbai, offering subscription-based, sanitized toy delivery for children 0–12. Early growth was hindered by fragmented user journeys, a lack of personalized communication, and limited behavioral insights—challenges that made it difficult to boost repeat purchases, improve retention, and leverage analytics for targeted engagement.

By joining the WebEngage Startup Program and using Journey Designer plus push, WhatsApp and in-app notifications, Elefant automated omnichannel, timed journeys for onboarding, renewals and conversion nudges. Within months this drove a 74% rise in first-order conversions post-onboarding (4 months), a 29% lift in click-through revenue via WhatsApp and a 66% lift via push (3 months), while markedly improving operational efficiency and retention.
