ADAMA Germany, part of global crop protection company ADAMA, needed to standardize and automate absence management across countries and companies. With employees and managers spread across Europe, the HR team faced complex multilingual processes, varying local regulations, and rising administrative workload. Vendor Webcon provided the workflow platform WEBCON BPS for use in SharePoint, alongside a solution template for absence management.

Webcon implemented the template-based WEBCON BPS solution in SharePoint, adapting around 80% of the required functionality out of the box and customizing the rest. The result was efficient, transparent absence management with automatic day-off calculations, email-based leave approvals, and less routine work for HR. ADAMA also gained a flexible foundation for future workflow applications and broader process optimization, with faster implementation than a custom-built solution and improved standardization across the organization.
