Web.com launched a pilot of hyper-targeted, localized Facebook advertising campaigns across 100 locations, expanding after strong results. In the first six months (data as of April 25, 2018) paid web visits rose 49% with Facebook accounting for over 33% of paid traffic; overall cost per web visit fell 19% (Facebook visits were 2.3× cheaper than paid search) and ad CPC dropped 26% (Facebook clicks were 3× cheaper), and program adoption grew by more than 100 additional locations.
