The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) faced challenges with manual and time-consuming trade processes that hindered efficiency. To modernize and automate its revenue collection, the Federal Government of Nigeria appointed vendor Webb Fontaine to implement its Webb Customs solution.

Webb Fontaine deployed the Trade Portal Management and NICIS II systems, which included modules for declarations, licenses, and certificates. The vendor also upgraded IT infrastructure, provided extensive training, and renovated NCS facilities. As a result, NCS revenue grew by 238% between 2017 and 2023, surpassing ₦3 trillion, while clearance times were reduced by 30%.
