Nepal expands digital trade services to 27 agencies with Webb Fontaine

The country of Nepal, a landlocked nation heavily reliant on international trade, sought to modernize its trade infrastructure and enhance its global competitiveness. Supported by the World Bank, Nepal partnered with Webb Fontaine to implement the Webb Single Window platform, known locally as the Nepal National Single Window (NNSW), to streamline bureaucratic trade processes.

Webb Fontaine implemented the NNSW in phases, connecting 27 government agencies to provide 45 digital services. The results were significant, including the processing of over 3.5 million transactions and the achievement of an 80% transition to electronic payments. The platform was adopted by over 8,500 companies and 10,000 users, leading to increased efficiency, transparency, and a more streamlined trade ecosystem for Nepal.
