Longdean School - Customer Case Study

Longdean School, an 11–18 academy in Hemel Hempstead, needed a single, teacher-driven learning platform that was reliable, accessible from anywhere and capable of supporting cross‑consortium collaboration, large user numbers and heavy data flows. The school’s challenge was to complete integration between its existing Moodle VLE and the MIS (Capita SIMS) so teachers, students, parents and governors could access consistent, up-to-date information without extra administrative overhead.

Webanywhere integrated on‑site Moodle with Capita SIMS on a self‑managed Linux server with online support, providing a single dashboard, automatic sync of registrations, grades and behaviour, and seamless access on PCs and mobile devices. The result was reduced administration for staff, timely student marks/feedback and progress tools for learners, improved parental access and communication, and a robust, scalable platform praised by school leaders for its responsiveness and effectiveness.
