A Webanywhere Case Study
Lent Rise School in Buckinghamshire is a forward‑thinking primary that has used ICT across the curriculum to build international links and strengthen cultural awareness. When selecting a VLE it was essential the platform supported community cohesion and parental engagement—allowing parents to raise concerns, check targets and work with the school to support learning—while also creating capacity to share up‑to‑date attendance data and reduce staff administrative burden.
Working with Webanywhere, Lent Rise deployed "Lent Rise Learning World" on Moodle, which is now widely used by pupils, teachers, parents and governors to communicate and monitor progress. When the school first started to use Moodle only 20% of parents had broadband access at home; now only 6% do not. The planned Moodle–SIMS integration will present live attendance information to parents and significantly cut administrative duties, improving parental engagement and operational efficiency.
