A Webanywhere Case Study
Bishop Barrington School, a secondary school in County Durham, needed to upgrade its Moodle 1.9 platform to improve collaboration between students, staff and parents, save teachers administrative time, and give pupils access to their own marks and feedback. The school also wanted a solution that would provide parents with up-to-date progress information and help meet government online reporting expectations.
Webanywhere’s Moodle SIMS Integration automated account provisioning and synced student, attendance, behaviour and assessment data between Moodle and SIMS, eliminating manual admin and making registrations and behaviour recording faster. Teachers’ grades and comments are written back to SIMS and shared with relevant staff, while parents and pupils can access timetables, results and behaviour records through Moodle — improving staff communication, parental engagement and pupils’ ability to track their progress.
