A Moodle platform to train volunteers and health professionals in Scotland

Breast Cancer Care, a UK charity providing free support and information to people affected by breast cancer, launched the B-Aware campaign to improve early detection in Scotland by training volunteers and health professionals to reach local communities. The challenge was to rapidly create scalable, accessible training to equip 50 volunteers and practitioners and extend the charity’s awareness work beyond face-to-face sessions.

Webanywhere built a Moodle-based e-learning portal and developed a 2-hour SCORM course with quizzes and custom certificates, plus resources on face-to-face training and FAQs. The solution delivered a scalable, open-source training platform that raised the charity’s profile, increased breast health promotion, kick-started a comprehensive e-learning programme across the organisation and confirmed strong user interest.
