Škoda's e-scooter rental brand BeRider lowers CPI by 80% on Social with WeatherAds

BeRider, an electric scooter ride-sharing company and part of Škoda, discovered its service was highly dependent on weather conditions, with app installs dropping during poor weather. Their challenge was to leverage this insight to improve the performance of their paid social campaigns for app installs on Facebook and Instagram and significantly reduce their cost per install (CPI). To address this, they turned to the vendor WeatherAds.

WeatherAds implemented a solution using weather-triggered automation for the social campaigns. They created four separate ad sets, each with different creative and messaging tailored for sunny, cold, or rainy/snowy conditions, plus a default option. WeatherAds' system used real-time weather data to automatically activate only the most relevant ad set based on current conditions. This strategy was a tremendous success for BeRider, lowering their cost per install by more than 80%.
