Chopard, a luxury Swiss retailer, sought to expand its reach to Chinese shoppers and younger generations by moving beyond its physical stores. The brand needed a new, distinctive approach to drive brand awareness and loyalty through social commerce, identifying WeChat as a key platform. To meet this challenge, they partnered with vendor Planet.
Planet built a WeChat mini-program for Chopard that integrated live-streaming and direct store functionality, enabling viewers to purchase without leaving the app. Planet acted as the payment acquiring partner for these live shopping events. The solution resulted in over 7,000 customers visiting the live streams and more than 150 live orders. Beyond sales, Planet helped Chopard significantly increase brand awareness and strengthen loyalty with a new generation of customers.
