Running Amazon Ads to Grow Off-Amazon Sales

WBX Commerce partnered with CPG Pet Company, a niche but high-quality CPG pet brand, to help measure and optimize media both on and off Amazon. The customer wanted to understand how streaming TV, display, and sponsored ads influenced their dot com sales and needed a partner with strong Amazon advertising expertise and technology capabilities to scale results.

WBX Commerce built a measurement platform using Amazon Marketing Cloud and the brand’s first-party data to track users exposed to Amazon ads who later purchased on the brand’s dot com site. WBX Commerce then shifted spend toward campaigns with the highest overlap and used streaming TV, display, and sponsored ads to drive sales. After 6 months, the brand saw a 15% overlap in off-Amazon purchases, and after 30 days of optimizing spend, it achieved a 4% increase in incremental off-Amazon sales.
