Case Study: The World Bank achieves consolidated global learning and improved training analytics with WBT Systems' TopClass

A WBT Systems Case Study

Preview of the The World Bank Case Study

The World Bank - Customer Case Study

The World Bank, a global development institution with 184 member countries, identified knowledge and learning as a strategic priority but faced fragmented, costly training: most courses were classroom‑based with instructors flown in, 12 separate learning systems made it hard to find or manage courses, and the Bank lacked a unified way to track or measure learning effectiveness. It sought a blended learning approach and a single integrated LMS that would fit its IT environment and provide comprehensive reporting.

WBT Systems’ TopClass was selected to replace the disparate systems, offering a single user interface, searchable course catalog, tracking and workflow tools, and integrations with Business Objects, SAP, PeopleSoft and Lotus Notes. The LMS enabled blended course design and pre‑course preparation, streamlined administration for 3,000 annual learning activities with a single access point, and significantly improved analytics and reporting—helping the Bank better monitor investments in learning and raise program quality.
