NEA Academy, the National Education Association’s online professional development portal for K–12 educators, offers roughly 500 courses—most delivered by third‑party providers. After three unsuccessful LMS implementations in six years, the Academy needed a single sign‑on, flexible public course catalog with eCommerce, and robust tracking and financial reporting for third‑party course registrations.

NEA Academy selected TopClass LMS from WBT Systems, which delivered advanced catalog features, integration/SSO and strong tracking and reporting (with eCommerce to be implemented). The platform gave NEA greater control and easier navigation, expanded reporting and learner progress tracking; today 2,000+ teachers use the system monthly, with plans to scale to 10,000 and extend TopClass to instructor‑led training and other NEA departments.
