The customer, Gtbeds (a brand of Gezira Travel DMC), faced a significant challenge when incoming tourism to Egypt drastically decreased, jeopardizing their traditional offline business model. To counter this, they launched a new brand focused on outgoing tourism and needed to adapt to the digital market to sell their services online. They turned to the vendor wbe.travel for a booking system solution.
wbe.travel implemented a B2B booking system with integrated XML suppliers, followed by a contracting and extranet system and a business intelligence dashboard. This solution allowed Gtbeds to vastly expand its inventory, distribute its rates, and analyze sales data for better decision-making. The results were substantial, with the new brand recording its first online bookings in 2015. By the end of 2017, wbe.travel's solutions helped Gtbeds achieve a 300-400% increase in bookings compared to 2016, alongside over 120% business growth and over 15 million AED in sales from the new venture.
