Waitrose - Customer Case Study

Waitrose, a leading UK supermarket and Britain’s largest employee-owned retailer, needed a better way to capture innovation from its 53,000 partners. Its long-running Good Suggestion Scheme was admin-heavy, lacked clear workflows and transparency, and struggled with duplicates and low delivery rates, so the business sought a technology-led solution to embed idea management into day-to-day operations and boost partner engagement.

They launched Partner Ideas on Wazoku’s idea-management platform, giving partners simple submission forms, personal profiles, a searchable idea database and automated review-to-implementation workflows. The programme now has around 7,000 active collaborators and over 4,000 ideas, reduced duplication, improved visibility and governance, and delivered tangible savings — including £3.5m realised to date and £168k/year from one till-roll change — providing sustained ROI and stronger partner engagement.
