US Green Building Council - Los Angeles - Customer Case Study

The U.S. Green Building Council — Los Angeles (USGBC‑LA) is a chapter of builders and environmentalists promoting sustainability across LA County. For the 2016 Greenbuild LA Legacy Project, USGBC‑LA needed an open innovation platform to let teams collaborate on RFP submissions, share community‑supported ideas, and maintain transparent, customizable workflows for selecting a lasting community gift.

USGBC‑LA chose Wazoku’s Idea Spotlight (provided pro‑bono) and worked with Wazoku to set goals, train users, and build custom workflows. The campaign engaged about 1,200 people, generated 20+ ideas, and produced a winning S.T.E.A.M. Eco‑Tech Maker Space by T4T.org that will deliver hands‑on S.T.E.A.M. curricula and environmental stewardship; USGBC‑LA reported higher engagement, transparent processes, and plans to reuse the platform for future projects.
