Case Study: Thomson Reuters accelerates product innovation with Wazoku

A Wazoku Case Study

Thomson Reuters engages 900+ participants with Wazoku to improve Web of Knowledge

thomson reuters, a multinational media company, sought to improve its Web of Knowledge tool but found traditional customer research to be slow and ineffective. Their challenge was to gather authentic, actionable feedback directly from users. They partnered with Wazoku to harness the power of the crowd through its InnoCentive platform.

Wazoku implemented a two-stage program, beginning with an Ideation Challenge to source ideas, which identified data visualization as a key improvement. This was followed by a challenge to build the winning concept, resulting in a functional Java application prototype from a solver in Hungary. The solution was perfectly suited to specification and could be implemented quickly with minimal demand on internal resources. The Wazoku challenge received over 8,292 visits and engaged more than 900 participants, successfully delivering a customer-driven insight and a working solution.
