SPEED connects 250+ members with Wazoku for smart port innovation

The customer is the SPEED Project, a collaborative smart ports initiative across Western Europe. Their challenge was to improve efficiency and innovation in complex port environments by better connecting port stakeholders with high-tech start-ups and SMEs developing data science and IoT solutions, as these groups traditionally struggled to collaborate effectively. They utilized the Wazoku Platform to address this.

Wazoku provided its Co-Creation Community platform to host the SPEED Portal, applying its Challenge Driven Innovation® methodology. This solution connected ports, researchers, and innovators to exchange ideas and tackle specific challenges. The results included a network of over 250 members from 17 partner organizations, with 28 defined challenges leading to tangible proof-of-concept solutions like air quality monitors and smart camera systems. This facilitated faster, more efficient problem-solving for ports in Belgium, the Netherlands, and the UK.
