Sandvik reaches 43,000 idea contributors with Wazoku

Sandvik, a global engineering and materials technology leader, partnered with the idea management software vendor Wazoku to address the challenge of achieving its ambitious 2030 sustainability goals. The company needed a structured way to harness internal innovation to drive progress in key areas like climate and circularity.

Wazoku implemented a global Ideas Hub platform, accessible via app or intranet, to crowdsource ideas from Sandvik's workforce. This solution fostered high engagement, with nearly 2000 activated users contributing ideas that were developed and refined collaboratively. Specific ideas were successfully implemented, such as a commercialized process for recycling tungsten drill bits. Wazoku's platform helped Sandvik make significant progress toward its goal of collecting 100,000 ideas by 2030, with 43,000 contributors already involved and 78% of registered users regularly active.
