Elkem, a leading advanced materials manufacturer, sought to formalize its long history of innovation by developing a stronger culture of collaboration and creating a structured process to collect, prioritize, and implement ideas from its global workforce. To achieve this, the company partnered with Wazoku to implement an innovation program powered by its global idea platform.

Wazoku provided the platform and support for Elkem to run targeted innovation challenges, capturing ideas from employees worldwide. The solution enabled efficient categorization, evaluation, and collaboration on ideas. As a result, Elkem ran over 70 challenges and collected 2,352 ideas. Specific outcomes included 260 ideas being solved and finalized directly on the Wazoku platform, and 6% of ideas from a major challenge were approved as projects for further development, significantly advancing the company's innovation goals.
