Diageo, the world’s leading premium drinks business operating in around 180 markets, needed a way to stay ahead in a fast-moving industry by tapping into employee ideas and formally engaging its innovation team. The challenge was to provide a scalable platform that could capture a large volume of ideas, encourage collaboration, and help prioritise the most promising concepts.

Diageo chose the Wazoku idea-management platform to run an ideas challenge, using voting, commenting, media and ranking algorithms to surface and develop the best suggestions. More than 60 team members participated, ideas were filtered and selected for development, the process became more efficient and collaborative, and contributors received rewards and recognition—boosting engagement and creating a repeatable innovation programme.
