Case Study: Monmouthshire County Council achieves cost-effective urban CCTV coverage with Wavesight wireless Ethernet bridges

Monmouthshire County Council cuts CCTV fiber costs with Wavesight across 29 cameras

Monmouthshire County Council required a cost-effective solution to modernize its urban surveillance network across four historic Welsh towns while facing significant budget constraints. The challenge was to replace expensive leased fiber connections with a reliable alternative that could handle the complex geographic terrain and integrate with existing infrastructure. Wavesight provided its advanced Ethernet bridge technology to meet this need.

Wavesight implemented a comprehensive wireless CCTV infrastructure using 77 licence-exempt Ethernet bridges. This solution delivered significant cost savings by eliminating leased fiber fees, provided 24/7 reliable operations, and gave the council complete ownership of a scalable network capable of future expansion.
