Case Study: Honeywell achieves cable-free elevator shaft CCTV surveillance with Wavesight wireless transmission

Honeywell deploys cable-free CCTV in elevator shafts with Wavesight

Honeywell Automation India faced the challenge of establishing secure video transmission for CCTV cameras inside the elevator shafts at Tidel Park Chennai, South India's largest IT park. The goal was to avoid interference with elevator control cables and enable a rapid, non-intrusive deployment. To meet this challenge, they partnered with Wavesight to utilize its industrial-grade point-to-point wireless transmission solutions.

Wavesight implemented its wireless radios to transmit video feeds between transmitters in the shafts and receivers on the elevator cars, replacing the need for complex cabling. This solution provided a secure, low-latency network for uninterrupted monitoring. The results included reliable, cable-free CCTV transmission that enhanced security, a rapid installation that minimized disruption, and a scalable solution from Wavesight adaptable to other smart building applications.
