GAIL secures 35 remote pipeline camera sites with Wavesight

Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) faced a challenge securing its natural gas pipeline across remote terrains in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, where deploying fiber optic infrastructure was unfeasible. This created security gaps at its valve stations. To address this, GAIL engaged vendor Wavesight to implement a dependable wireless solution for CCTV surveillance.

Wavesight deployed advanced wireless radios to establish secure transmission paths from 35 remote camera locations back to central control rooms. This solution successfully overcame the connectivity hurdles, enabling seamless CCTV monitoring. The project provided a cost-effective and scalable wireless alternative to fiber, significantly enhancing the overall security of GAIL's pipeline infrastructure.
