Creating apps to simplify complex bank processes

A Fortune 500 U.S. bank—ranked among the top 10 by assets with 700+ branches and 2,000+ ATMs—needed a secure, reliable way for citizen developers to build customized apps to simplify complex, siloed processes like fraud detection. The bank’s strict IT vetting, Jenkins-based CI/CD to a Docker private cloud, air-gapped systems, and tiered security requirements made deployment and regular security updates particularly challenging.

WaveMaker was installed on the bank’s AWS private cloud with offline runtime packages, integrated into the existing CI/CD pipeline, and subjected to Nessus scans, vulnerability/penetration testing, and compliance checks for PII, PCI DSS and CFPB. The WaveMaker apps (used by ~500–600 agents) streamlined workflows, boosted efficiency and productivity, and met the bank’s rigorous security and compliance standards.
