Celularity achieves 5-bar coverage across 145,350 sq. ft. with Waveform

Celularity, a clinical-stage biotechnology company, faced significant cellular signal challenges within its new 145,350-square-foot FDA-compliant facility in Florham Park, New Jersey. The building's construction materials, including concrete and steel, along with signal-blocking clean rooms and laboratories, resulted in weak coverage for AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, forcing employees to go outside to use their phones. Vendor Waveform was engaged to design a solution that would enhance voice and data service while also future-proofing the building for 5G.

Waveform implemented a hybrid DAS solution utilizing a QUATRA 4000i system that combined off-air and small cell signal sources. This system leveraged a combination of coaxial and ethernet cabling to capture, condition, and distribute signals from all three carriers building-wide. The project was completed on-time and on-budget, resulting in a drastic increase in signal strength (RSRP) and quality (SINR) measurements, delivering reliable 5-bar coverage throughout the entire facility for Celularity's staff.
